Edward’s Steakhouse began serving the Jersey City community in 2004, opening under the direction of its eponymous founder Chef Edward Gozdz, formerly of The Old Homestead Steakhouse in Manhattan’s world famous Meat Packing District.

In 2007, Daniel de la Vega, after a successful wall street career, took the reins from Chef Gozdz. During this period Edward’s Steakhouse and the historic 19th century brownstone that houses it were damaged extensively by Hurricane Sandy. Mr. de la Vega fully renovated the property and reopened Edward’s Steakhouse seven months after the storm. No expense was spared to offer the finest dining experience in Jersey City.

In the Summer of 2015, Patrick Donnelly, Louis Laico, Dominick Pandolfo, Dave Barbossa, and Thomas Harris, all native to the Jersey City area, partnered to become owners of Edward's Steakhouse. The five come from various backgrounds and industries, but the one thing they share is a passion for top notch food and quality service. Edward’s offers a fine dining experience in a casual, yet elegant setting.

Edward’s Steakhouse has since upgraded our offerings to include premium 28 Day Dry Aged steak selections, sourced from the finest purveyors in the New York City area. A 20oz Kansas City bone in Sirloin, 24oz Porterhouse for one, 42oz Porterhouse for two as well as our 22oz "Cowboy" Ribeye & 32oz "Gotham" Ribeye are among our most popular offerings. We continue to bring our customers a nice variety of Fresh Oysters, daily Fish Specials and refreshing Salads. Tom Harris is continuously upgrading our Wine Spectator Award winning wine selections as well as our seasonal beer selections and specialty cocktails.

Edward’s Steakhouse has two elegantly appointed dining rooms and a classic Prohibition era bar to provide the perfect venue for intimate evenings and larger gatherings. We are open 5 days a week for lunch and 7 days a week for dinner! Lunch Monday - Friday 11:30am-4pm, Dinner Monday - Wednesday 4pm-10pm, Thursday - Saturday 4pm-11pm, Sunday 4pm-9pm

Edward’s is located in the heart of downtown Jersey City and only a short three block walk from the Grove Street PATH Station, and the Marin Blvd. Light Rail stop. The Colgate NY Waterway ferry terminal is a short walk away. Validated parking is available one block north of the restaurant.
